PUPS on SUPS is a fantastic way to get fit while having fun with your pup!
Join us for Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) with your dog at picturesque Sandy Beach Reserve in Bassendean.
SUP-ing is suited to almost everyone as it offers an easy way to enjoy being at one with nature, with minimal athletic ability and we are committed to promoting and supporting this amazing sport!
PUPS on SUPS is a unique activity that you can do with your dog in a protected section of the Swan River with qualified stand up paddle board instructors!
This is a fun and rewarding session that develops teamwork, trust and fitness whilst being up close and personal with nature. There is no reason to feel guilty as you leave the house to go for a paddle – bring your dog with you for double the fun!
We’ll go through basic tuition and safety instruction while your pooch is on lead then gently assist to settle you and your dog on the paddle board. It’s easier than you think!
We also offer play dates, training workshops and 1 – 1 lessons so get in touch to have a chat about what options may suit you best.
Cost: $30.00 including board hire and supervision.
Location: Sandy Beach Reserve, Bassendean (End of West Road)
When: Every Sunday between 9 am – 12 noon
Bring: Sun protective clothing, hat, water, dog treats
Cash Payment or Eftpos facilities available.
Now for the serious stuff
If your dog is not trained or socialised please consider whether this will be a suitable activity for you both. You may wish to book a one to one lesson first to see how your best mate will take to the water on a stand up paddle board and practice some tips to encourage familiarity and confidence. We also encourage first time paddlers to have lessons without your dog first to ensure you have basic paddling skills and water safety awareness that will make your session much easier.
Participants will be required to sign a disclaimer prior to each session.
